Vintage Original Chinese Cloisonné Dragon Stem Cup with Lid Republic Period

A colorful Chinese covered stem cup that has two undulating dragons meeting at the pearl of wisdom. The cloisonne forms a design of mountains, waves, ruyi heads, clouds and two dragons.

The base color is black with colorful enamels in an array of colors. The lid edge, final, rim and foot are bronze. The lid underside is enameled in a turquoise blue. MADE IN CHINA has been stamped into the metal on the base multiple times. 5" (12.7 cm) diameter x 8 ¼" (21.0 cm) tall. Weighs 1 lb 7.6 oz (675 g).

There are no breaks, repairs, cracks, or dents, and the enamels on the exterior are in good condition. The metal has oxidized to a nice brown tone. The interior was not enameled very well and there gaps in the enamel. There is also wear and a residue to the enamel on the bottom of the inside.
